Maxwell House Blend- The Ever Reliable Coffee

One of the well-known brands of coffee in the United States, the Maxwell House blend is a division of Kraft Foods. The name Maxwell House originated from the Maxwell House Hotel, a prestigious hotel in Nashville, Tennessee.

It is said that the 26th U.S. President, Theodore Roosevelt visited the hotel in 1907, and after having tasted their house coffee, reportedly said that it was “good to the last drop.”

While this legend may or may not be true, it was woven into the coffee company’s advertising, and it had a lot of people buying Maxwell House coffee.

Certainly, this brand ranks among one of the older coffee manufacturers, having been born over a hundred years ago in 1873 by a Kentucky traveling salesman by the name of Joel Cheek.

Wanting to find out the best coffee blend among all the brands that he sold, he sampled them all one by one. Eventually, he became a coffee enthusiast himself, experimenting with flavors and aromas, and mixing together coffee varieties to get the best blend.

The Maxwell House blend is available in roasted ground coffee that can be brewed in any coffee maker for a hot cup of delicious coffee. It is considered an American classic, and has become part of popular culture, having been featured in movies, television series, and songs.

Many people continue to buy Maxwell House coffee because it continually tops the taste of regular ground coffee with its reliable flavor.

The brand is a good choice as it can be stored for a long time in a cool and dry place without losing its taste. It is also relatively inexpensive and can be purchased anywhere

Today, Maxwell House Coffee comes in reseal-able coffee pods to lock in the taste. These coffee pods are a packaging design where coffee comes inside its own special coffee filter.

Maxwell House’s coffee pod line comes in four different flavors: Hazelnut, French Roast, House Blend, and House Blend Decaf, all prepared from pure ground Arabica coffee beans.
